Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The black satin on this skirt has a real shine to it, not that cheap plasticky look you get with budget versions. It drapes so nicely over my hips and the high waist actually stays put all day without rolling down. Wore it to a work dinner with a tucked-in white button-up and got so many compliments.

Exactly what I needed for work events.

Really love how this fits through the waist and hips. The satin drape in black is elegant without being over the top, so it works for my office environment. One small thing is the zipper feels a tiny bit stiff, but nothing that's a dealbreaker for this price.

I've been searching for a midi skirt that hits right below the knee and this is it.

When I first took it out of the package I genuinely thought there had been a mix-up because it looks like something from a much pricier boutique. The black satin has real weight and flow to it, and the high waist panel is smooth and structured. Wore it to a holiday party with heels and a sequin top and it was the perfect balance of fancy without trying too hard.

The way this fabric falls over my curves without clinging is honestly the main reason I'm giving five stars. I have wider hips and usually struggle with skirts bunching up, but the satin just glides. High waist in black is such a classic and this version nails it.

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Gorgeous satin in the black colorway, the high waist is really flattering on my body type. I do wish it came with a built-in slip or lining because on brighter days it can be slightly sheer. Wearing a nude slip underneath completely solves it though, so not a huge issue.

Paul S. 4/5 August 20, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The high waist silhouette in this black satin skirt genuinely makes me feel confident in a way most skirts don't. Movement in the satin fabric is beautiful, especially when walking. The only thing I noticed is one of the interior seams wasn't fully finished, but it's not visible from the outside so I'm not stressing it.

Hazel L. 4/5 August 19, 2026

Midi skirts can go so wrong but this one hits at the most flattering point on my leg. The black satin has a soft lustre that's dressy without being costume-y. I wore it with a fitted black blazer and white tank for work and it was the most put-together I've felt in months.

Daisy S. 5/5 August 18, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The satin looks beautiful and the high waist is very flattering on my frame. My concern is that the skirt is noticeably sheer in natural light, especially in lighter colors, and even the black shows through more than I'd like. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere before buying so I want to flag it for others. If you wear a slip it's fine, but that's an extra step I wasn't expecting.

Jose L. 3/5 August 18, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The way this satin moves when I walk or spin around is just so satisfying, it has real fluid drape. The high waist sits right where it should and the midi length is professional enough for my office. Black was the obvious first choice but I'm already thinking about ordering the lavender for spring.

Justin P. 5/5 August 18, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

I'm usually an XS but ordered a small based on some reviews, and it fits well through the waist but is slightly roomy in the back. The black satin itself is beautiful and the midi length is exactly as pictured. Still wearing it regularly, just wanted to flag the fit for other people who are between sizes.

Put this on for a gallery opening with a silk blouse and immediately felt like I belonged there. The black satin has a polish to it that just makes everything look intentional. High waist, great drape, perfect length. No notes.

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Some satin fabrics feel scratchy against the skin but this one is smooth and soft all day. The high waist holds its shape even after hours of wearing, which I really appreciate. I styled the black version with a fitted black mock neck and it was a total look.

Wei F. 5/5 August 17, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

I was nervous about the high waist because I carry weight in my midsection, but this skirt is genuinely forgiving. The satin skims rather than clings and the midi length balances out my proportions really nicely. Black was a safe starting point and now I want the red for something bolder.

Lauren O. 5/5 August 17, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The midi length in black satin is exactly what the photos show, no misleading angles or lighting tricks. I found the fit through the hips slightly snug in my normal size M, so next time I'd go with a large. Despite that, the waist looks beautiful and the fabric quality is impressive for the price.

Larry O. 4/5 August 16, 2026

Wore this to work with a blazer and then straight to a team dinner without changing.

Kavya N. 5/5 August 16, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

I bought this in black size M and it's become my go-to for presentations. The high waist actually cinches my waist and makes me feel confident, plus the satin finish reads as way more expensive than it actually is.

Mike S. 5/5 August 15, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The satin sheen on this skirt is insane. In black, it catches light beautifully, and the high-waist design on my size 8 frame actually elongates my legs like promised. This is the kind of piece that makes your whole outfit feel intentional.

Aubree P. 5/5 August 15, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Seriously cannot believe this is under fifty dollars. The black satin fabric has real weight and the seams are clean. I've owned satin pieces from name-brand stores that look cheaper than this.

Carl R. 5/5 August 15, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The black satin is genuinely gorgeous and the high waist is super flattering, I feel really elegant wearing this. My one issue is that static cling can be a problem in dry weather. A quick spray with fabric spray fixes it but worth knowing before you wear it out.

Brooklyn C. 4/5 August 15, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

This skirt actually lives up to the hype. The black satin is thick enough to hold its shape, the high waist is genuinely flattering, and the midi length doesn't feel frumpy on my 5'4" frame in size XS.

Pete K. 5/5 August 14, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Got this in black size M and it's such a solid wardrobe staple. The satin catches light in a really elegant way, the midi length is just right, and the high waist is supportive without being uncomfortable.

Clean lines, beautiful drape, flattering waist. Black satin never looked so good on me.

Ryan P. 5/5 August 13, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

I've bought plenty of skirts labeled satin that are clearly polyester with a shine finish. This one actually has the proper drape and sheen of real satin. The midi length paired with the high waist makes my whole silhouette look longer and leaner, and the black is a deep, rich tone.

Paisley B. 5/5 August 13, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Wear this black Yui skirt constantly. The satin sheen makes it feel upscale, the high waist is incredibly flattering in size S, and it transitions from day to night without hesitation.

Ben K. 5/5 August 12, 2026

The lustrous black satin finish on this skirt is what sold me, and it absolutely delivers. Size L fits my hips and thighs without pulling, and the high waist provides real definition.

Emily S. 5/5 August 12, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Not exaggerating when I say this is in my outfit rotation at least once a week since it arrived. The black works with literally everything in my closet and the satin dresses any look up instantly. High waist stays put all day and the midi length is work-appropriate without being frumpy.

Timothy Y. 5/5 August 12, 2026

Added this to my cart as a basic black skirt and ended up with something way more special. The satin has movement and shape, the high waist in size M is genuinely supportive, and it looks polished with anything.

Sean R. 5/5 August 11, 2026

Wore this black midi skirt to a work dinner and felt like I had my life together. The high waist in size S creates a really nice silhouette, and the satin drape is subtle but clearly quality.

Needed a black midi for work and this Yui skirt exceeded expectations. The satin finish reads luxe, the high waist in size S is actually comfortable, and the length is sophisticated without being stuffy.

Steve R. 5/5 August 11, 2026

This black skirt in size M is my new uniform piece. The satin sheen looks intentional and upscale, the high waist prevents any self-consciousness, and it works for boardrooms and dinner parties.

The high waist on this black midi in size S is a real game-changer for my body. The satin drapes beautifully without clinging, and I get compliments every time I wear it.

Jessica F. 5/5 August 11, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

This black skirt feels more expensive than it costs. Size M fits me perfectly through the waist and hips, the satin has beautiful movement, and the midi length is universally flattering.

Christopher G. 5/5 August 11, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

This is the kind of skirt that makes you feel polished without trying. Black in size M, high waist that actually cinches, satin that drapes instead of clings. Absolutely worth having in your rotation.

Greg R. 5/5 August 11, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

The black satin has a beautiful sheen and the midi length photographs wonderfully. My issue is small but noticeable. The waistband stitching on one side was slightly uneven when I received it. It doesn't affect the fit or look when worn, but for a detail-oriented person it was a little annoying. Still a great buy at this price.

Elena T. 4/5 August 11, 2026

Every single time I wear this black satin midi I get asked where it's from.

Douglas H. 5/5 August 11, 2026

Yui High Waist Black Satin Midi Skirt

Love this skirt in black size M, and the satin quality is beautiful. Only minor thing is the waistband could use a tiny bit more elasticity, but honestly it's barely noticeable and doesn't stop me from wearing it constantly.
